about

LISTEN TO THE RECORD "FORGIVEN" ABOVE!

"Forgiven," released in 2012, is part of a compilation of bedroom recordings released at the height of Marc Beauregard's musical career. "Forgiven" garnered this California singer-songwriter considerable attention and sparked several tours and hundreds of live shows, though no follow-up album was recorded.

At the time, Beauregard was performing under the moniker "Marc B," and was signed to Oniric Records, a boutique Santa Barbara based label that spawned out of the success of Jack Johnson and was under the umbrella of Oniracom, one of the leading creative agencies on the West Coast.

Together, Oniracom and Beauregard released 2007's "The Yellow Jelly E.P." which gained Marc B recognition as a force in Southern California coastal music. The album slowly gathered momentum and was re-issued in 2009 with a bonus track...a live, on-air version of "The River" recorded from a radio performance. The single went on to be Beauregard's highest selling track.

In 2010 Beauregard and Oniric Records released his single "Mr. American" as the opening track on "Solutions For Dreamers III," a compilation record benefitting the World Food Programme. Beauregard's track garnered worldwide attention and was placed alongside renown artists like "The Wailers." Beauregard donated 100% of the proceeds from "Mr. American" to the World Food Programme and the cessation of worldwide famine.

"Forgiven" was a demo-track and was slated to be re-recorded in a professional studio in Hollywood, California...which Beauregard never made it into. Severe budget cuts, the ever-shrinking nature of the Music Industry, along with the folding of Oniric Records, resulted in the album never being made. It was to be his first studio full-length.

The decision was made to release this track, the demo version of "Forgiven," when it became imminent that the follow-up record was not happening. To much surprise, the intimate, folk-y, lo-fi sound did quite well, as it seemed to naturally ride the wave that music was on at that time in the world.

"We couldn't afford to pay a drummer, so we just recorded me slapping my pocket-change," Marc laughs. His fans appreciated the result, and in 2012 he embarked on one last tour...a plastic-free tour on behalf of Plastic Pollution Coalition, of which he became an official ambassador. He ceased his full-time music pursuit in 2013.

After his music career, Beauregard founded Bedfellows Roasting Company, which he operated for 7 years.

He now resides with his wife Marissa on the Kona Coast of Hawai'i where he works as the Director of Marketing for one of the larger coffee farms in the Hawaiian Islands. His free time is occupied by surfing, writing, and studying meditation.
